Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of NaCl in salt whether it is in accordance with the
determination of SNI quality requirements and is suitable for consumption of salt is a fairly
many marine resources needed as a food complement material for the community. Salt has a
collection of chemical compounds with the largest constituent of NaCl and Caso4, MgSO4 and
MgCl2]. Salt analysis is needed because salt has the appropriate standard of standard so that it
can be used, both for industrial needs or for community food needs. This research was
analyzed by NaCl levels using the arrgentometric titration method. The argentometry method
is an analytical chemical method for determining the levels of substances in the solution using
AgNO3 as a titrant based on the formation of silver deposits (Ag). Based on the results of the
study obtained a value of 0.257% for analysis of insoluble parts of water. The data shows that
the insoluble part of water in the segoromadu salt solution has met the determination of the
quality requirements of the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 3556: 2024), which is a
maximum of 0.5%. While the NaCl content obtained is 93.6% with non -SNI procedures and
51.8% using SNI prose From the data obtained shows that the value obtained is not in
accordance with the minimum requirements of NaCl salt levels consumption of iodine found
in SNI 3556: 2024 which is a minimum of 94%
