Meningkatkan Kecerdasan Visual-Spasial Anak Melalui Model Pembelajaran Berbasis P5 Menggunakan Media Vas Bunga
Abstract
This research is based on the fact that some children still have a fairly clear understanding of their imaginary objects or imaginations, but they still have difficulty expressing these ideas in the form of real works such as pictures and creative forms. The purposo of this study was to determine the application of the P5 based learning
model using flower vase media in Group B of PGRI Lestari Kindergarten to determine the effect of the P5 based learning model using flower vase media on children’s visual-spatial intelligence in Group B of PGRI Lestari Kindergarten. The method used in this study is classroom action research using the Kemmis 7 Mc.
Taggart workflow model. The theory used is Howard Gardner visual-spatial intelligence theory. This type of research is qualitative field research. Data collection techniques are observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis techniques. In calculating percentages, in depth inferential statistical analysis is not required. Data analysis is carried out using tools to facilitate the provision of meaning. The research results showed taht the average class value for each cycle showed an increase in children’s visual-spatial intelligence. In the pre cycle the average class result was 37,50% indicating that the criteria were starting to develop, which then increased in cycle I to 66,25% indicating that the criteria were developing as expected, and
then increased in cycle II to 82,99% indicating that the criteria were developing very well. From pre cycle to cycle I there was an increase of 28,75% and from cycle I to cycle II there was an increase of 16,74%. Through this research, children can more easily connect abstract concepts to concrete objects around them by expressing their creative ideas in the form of a work.
