Author Guidelines
Each manuscript must conform to the author's guidelines as listed in Alkasb: Journal of Islamic Economics (AJIE) template or a detailed explanation in the following terms:
Format
The article is written in the form of a word document (MS Word), 1.5 spaces, 11 pt Palatino Linotype, Margin 4-3 (left-right) and 4-3 (top-bottom). Manuscripts can be literature review or field research, but the results of field research are preferred. Articles are written between 4000-8000 words. The maximum plagiarism rate is 20% in addition to the bibliography, using the Turnitin application. The manuscript must be saved as a word file. All pages, including tables, appendices, and references, must be sequentially numbered. Spell numbers from one to ten, except when used in tables and lists, and when used with mathematical, statistical, scientific or technical units and quantities, such as distance, weight and measure. For example, three days; 3 kilometers; 30 years. All other numbers are expressed numerically. Authors are encouraged to use the AJIE (Alkasb: Journal of Islamic Economics) template.
Language
The manuscript must be written in English or good academic Indonesian. To ensure anonymous reviews, authors should not identify themselves directly or indirectly in their papers. A single writer should not use the word "we". Authors whose English is not their native language are encouraged to check their papers before submitting them for grammar and clarity. We use Grammarly to help us eliminate language errors. Make sure the manuscript does not have more than 250 errors and 5% of plagiarism indicators.
Article Length
Articles should be between 4000 and 8000 words. The length of the manuscript allowed is at the discretion of the editor; However, manuscripts that are less than or exceed the specified number of words may be returned to the author for revision before the manuscript is considered by the editor. Word count includes tables, images, and references.
TITLE PAGE
Article Title
The title of the article should be specific and effective, and approximately no more than 20 words. Write article titles using simple and straightforward language that can give readers a glimpse of the content at first glance.
Author and Affiliate Names
The full name of each author, the affiliation of each author at the time of completion of the research and the address of each author including email. If more than one author has contributed to the article, please provide detailed information for the relevant author.
Abstract
The abstract must stand alone, meaning that there are no citations within the abstract. The abstract should concisely inform the reader about the problem, the purpose of the manuscript, its methods, its findings, and its value. The abstract should be relatively non-technical, yet clear enough for the reader to understand the manuscript's contribution. The title of the manuscript, but the author's name or other identification should not be included on the abstract page. Abstracts between 150-2500 words, must be presented in English on a separate page just before the text of the manuscript.
Keywords
Keywords are an important part of abstract writing. Writers must choose a maximum of six keywords that are specific and reflect the important things in the article. Keywords and article classifications are listed after the abstract.
Introduction
In this section, it covers the background of the problem, factual data of the problem studied, deepening the problem, the latest research studies and theories relevant to the problem, the elaboration of the research results of the last ten years, research contributions in the form of novelty or research gaps, and research objectives.
Literature Review
Literature review is a summary or explanation or discussion of theories related to findings or research topics or previous primary research results to present more comprehensive and balanced facts which are then developed into hypotheses.
Research methodology
The research method explains briefly, concisely, clearly, and comprehensively the design of the research implementation. This section describes the research methods used (qualitative or quantitative), research types and approaches, research subjects and procedures, data collection instruments and data analysis.
Results
The author needs to report the results in sufficient detail so that the reader can see which statistical analysis was done and why, and then be able to justify the conclusion. Reporting results: The author may assume that the reader has knowledge of basic statistics.
Discussion
Different writers take different approaches when writing discussion sections. According to Feldman (2004:5), Perry et al. (2003: 658), and Summers (2001: 411412), the discussion section should: 1) Restate the main purpose of the research; 2) reaffirm the importance of this research by restating its main contribution; 3) summarize the results in relation to each research objective or hypothesis, without introducing new material; 4) re-linking the findings with the literature and results reported by other researchers; 5) provide a possible explanation for unexpected or insignificant findings; 6) discuss the managerial implications of this study; 7) highlight the main limitations of the study that can affect internal and external validity; 8) and discuss in-depth (i.e., unclear) directions or opportunities for future research related to the topic.
Conclusion
In this section, the author presents a brief conclusion from the results of the study along with suggestions for advanced researchers or general readers. The conclusion may include the main points of the paper, but do not replicate the abstract in the conclusion. In addition, the author writes down the main shortcomings and limitations of his research, which can reduce the validity of the writing, thus raising questions from readers (whether, or in what case), the limitations of his research may affect the results. and conclusions. Limitations require critical assessment and interpretation of the impact of their research. The author should provide an answer to the question: Is this problem caused by an error, or the method chosen, or its validity, or vice versa?
Reference
The bibliography used as a reference is at least 70% journal articles published in the last 10 (ten) years. The format of writing a bibliography that is used as a reference or reference source is more recommended to use reference management applications such as Mendeley, Zotero, and others. The writing format used in Alkasb: Journal of Islamic Economics is to use an in-note or bodynote system, not a footnote in the style of the American Psychological Association 7th Edition (APA), using Mendeley, Zotero, and other software.
Artwork
The author must provide high-quality artwork for all illustrations. Poor resolution or definition is unacceptable. Tables and Figures must be numbered separately. (Table 1, Table 2; Figure 1, Figure 2). Each table and each picture should be titled. Images and tables reproduced from published works must be included with permission from the original publisher (or copyright holder, if not the publisher).
