The editor-in-chief of Alkasb: Journal of Islamic Economics (AJIE) is responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal should be published. The decision is based on the recommendations of editorial board members and journal reviewers. The journal complies with applicable legal requirements related to defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editor consulted with the editorial team and reviewers in making this decision.

No discrimination

Editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts for intellectual content regardless of the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy.

Concealment

Editors, reviewers, and editorial staff should not disclose any information about manuscripts submitted to anyone other than the relevant authors, reviewers, prospective reviewers, editorial team, and publishers, as appropriate.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest

Unpublished material and disclosed in submitted manuscripts may not be used by any member of the editorial board and reviewers in their own research.

Reviewer's Duties

Contribution to editorial decisions

This journal uses a double-blind review process. Reviewers advise the editor-in-chief in making editorial decisions. The editor-in-chief communicates with the authors, if needed, and assists them in improving the quality of their research papers.

Speed

The journal editor is committed to providing timely reviews to authors. If the reviewer does not submit his or her report on time, the paper will be sent to another qualified reviewer immediately.

Concealment

The content of the manuscript is treated with great confidentiality. This journal uses a double blind process. Except for the editor-in-chief, editors and reviewers should not discuss the paper with others, including the author.

Objectivity Standards

Editors and reviewers are required to evaluate papers based on their contents. Review comments should respect the author. Reviewers are required to justify their decisions and recommendations.

Source Acknowledgment

Reviewers must identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the author. Any statement stating that observations, derivations, or arguments have been previously reported must be accompanied by relevant citations. A reviewer should also call the editor's attention if there are substantial similarities or overlaps between the manuscript under consideration and other published papers that they know personally.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts that have a conflict of interest caused by a competitive, collaborative, or other relationship or connection with any author, company, or institution associated with the paper.

Duties of Writers

Reporting Standards

The author must present an accurate report of the work done as well as an objective discussion of its significance. The underlying data must be presented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain enough details and references to allow others to replicate the work if possible. False or deliberately inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable.

Data Access and Retention

Authors may be required to provide raw data in connection with the paper for editorial review. They must be ready to provide the data within a reasonable time.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors should ensure that they have written the entire original work, and if the author has used the work and/or words of others then the work has been cited or cited appropriately. Papers found with such problems are automatically rejected and authors are recommended.

Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publications

When a paper is submitted for possible publication, the submitting author makes a written statement that the paper has not been published and is in the process of publication in another journal. Concurrent surrender is considered unethical and therefore unacceptable.

Source Acknowledgment

Proper recognition of the work of others is required. The author should cite publications that lead to the author's current research.

Paper Writing

Writing should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the research reported in the manuscript. Correspondent writers have a responsibility to keep co-authors informed of the review process. If accepted, all authors are required to provide a signed statement that the research work is the original research work.

Hazards and Subjects of Humans or Animals

If the work involves chemicals, procedures, or equipment that have unusual hazards in their use, the author should clearly identify them in the manuscript.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

All authors must disclose in their manuscripts any other financial or substantive conflicts of interest that may be interpreted to affect the outcome or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project must be disclosed.

Fundamental errors in published works

When an author finds significant errors or inaccuracies in his or her published work, the author is obliged to immediately notify the editor of the journal or publisher and work with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
