The Editorial Team of the International Journal of Digital Business (IJDB) recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and has established the following policy detailing specific actions (sanctions) that will be taken when plagiarism is found in articles submitted for publication.
Definition:
Plagiarism is an act that is intentionally or unintentionally to obtain or attempt to obtain an award or value for a scientific work by citing one or all scientific works and/or works of other parties that are recognized as scientific works, without citing the source accurately and completely.
For this reason, then:
Articles published in the International Journal of Digital Business (IJDB) must be free from plagiarism. Therefore, manuscripts submitted to the journal will be checked for similarity using Plagiarism Checker/Turnitin. Therefore, if the initial review of the manuscript has more than 25% similarity (except for quotations and references) the manuscript will be rejected and the manuscript review process will not be continued. If the level of similarity is less than 25%, the author is required to revise and improve the similarity stage of writing and will proceed to the next stage. The process is carried out in accordance with the following provisions:
Plagiarism category:
1. Plagiarizing several short sentences from other articles without citing sources.
Action: The author is given a warning and asked to change the text and citations accordingly.
2. Plagiarizing most of another article without citing sources and correct citations.
Action: The submitted article is rejected for publication in our Journal and the author may be sanctioned because it is not allowed to be published in the IJDB journal
Because all have signed the IJDB Journal Publication Ethics Statement Form, all article authors are responsible for the content of the submitted article. If a plagiarized article is found, all article authors will be subject to the same sanctions. If it is confirmed that the author submits a paper to the IJDB journal while simultaneously submitting it to another journal, and this overlap is found during the review process or after publication, action is taken in accordance with point 2 above. If plagiarism is found outside the standards mentioned above, the IJDB editor has the authority to impose sanctions in accordance with the editorial team's policy.
*Every submitted manuscript will undergo a Turnitin scan for similarity checks. Any manuscript exceeding a 25% similarity level will be rejected and not considered for further evaluation. We strongly emphasize originality and academic honesty. Manuscripts containing substantial plagiarism will not be considered for publication. Authors should verify the originality of their work and give proper credit to their sources to prevent plagiarism issues during the review process.
